Easy Street - Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt - 2012 |
And here is the backing on the floor before it was totally sewn together. I couldn't get the whole back in the picture from the angle I was shooting. I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow in the daylight.
So how many yards do you think it took to make this backing with left over fabrics and some whole yardage from stash. If you guessed 10 yards, you would be right. Yes!! I've hit the half way mark on usage this year. Now to get it quilted and bound before Bonnie comes to Missouri in September. It was the motivation I needed to get me going. I'm cutting it close, but it's doable if I keep focused and not get sidetracked with some other 'pressing" project. lol This will be my 9th UFO for this year. There are still too many left for any sane person to have though.

My Easy Street is on my frame right now! I decided to custom quilt it and I am really dragging my feet...it has been there about a month and may be on there another month! Good luck getting yours done quickly!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Dar! I just got my Easy Street quilted last March. Those big BH quilts take time!
ReplyDeleteWow, really great stash busting. Congrats on hitting 100 yards out. That's a pretty good milestone. So is finishing 9 UFOs. I'm hoping to finish at least 2 more this year.
ReplyDeleteYay!!! Great job Dar :*) Your Easy Street is lovely and you will enjoy sharing it with Bonnie. You can do it!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great design, Dar! I love the colors you chose for it. And good for you to use up so much fabric. You're gaining on yourself! :-) It would be so fun to show to Bonnie when she visits. Hang in there. You can get it done!
ReplyDeleteThat was such a fun quilt to piece! Your backing is perfect and another UFO bites the dust!
ReplyDeleteGreat way to use your stash. The backing will be as pretty as the front.
ReplyDeleteThat is just beautiful! So glad you'll get to see Bonnie in person. Way to go on that stash busting too. I need to catch up with you.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is stunning! And the backing makes it even more exquisite! You are so fortunate to be able to meet Bonnie and share this gorgeous finish with her and the gals at the session. Well done!
