I've made a little progress on my current socks. I've finished the heel flap and turned the heel, so now I'm ready for picking up gusset stitches and heading on down to foot and toes.
What have you been knitting this week. It's rainy here and a great time to stay inside and get some more done on my sock. Maybe I can finish this one and start the dreaded 2nd sock to this pair.
That heel pattern is very interesting. I only did two pair, one sock at a time. The first were tube socks so they matched pretty well but the second were my first fitted socks and they came out quite different sizes (I wear then anyway). After that I began doing two at a time as I figured that if it happened again I would probably quit knitting socks. :-)
Hi Dar - I see you do knit!! Much more difficult projects than the one I am working on and I love the colors in this sock. I keep trying socks and get about 1/2" and then get frustrated - toe down, toe up, 4 needles, long circular needle, whatever, it's all frustrating to me. LOL!!
This sock is looking really pretty. I'm wondering though... if the color changes are "built in" to the yarn, will you be able to make a second sock that's just like - or very similar to - this one?
It looks WONDEFUL Dar!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a beautiful job!
ReplyDeletethat yarn is way cool!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in that sock. Congrats on all the progress. No knitting here, but I do plan on spending some of this rainy weekend in the sewing room.
