I have more beautiful flowers blooming on this raffle quilt that I'd like to show. I must tell you all that I did not make this quilt, but had a hand in putting it together and binding it. A few people complimented me on the quilting too -- if only that were true. The quilt was custom quilted by Rosemary Cushman, one of our A-Team members. Individual blocks were done by many of us on the team; and we had sew days to assemble it into a flimsy in our own setting design. We also chose the name from suggestions the group made. "Floral Fantasy" received the most votes.

I hope I am not boring you with all these individual pictures, but I'm so proud of this group effort I just can't resist.
I simply wish all of your readers could see this quilt in person! It is beyond amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness! those flowers are just great. I love seeing them.
ReplyDeleteThe quilting is so great too. I think Rosemary has done some quilts of some of my friends down here in NC.
Definitely not bored! These are beautiful. Such great appliqué workmanship, enhanced by well-executed, appropriate quilting. You have every right to be proud of this group effort. Hope you get to enter it in a show or two and win some awards before it's raffled off. The Des Moines Area Quilters' Guild does this every year. Their quilt always wins a blue ribbon at the Iowa State Fair before it's raffled - given away along with the ribbon.
ReplyDeleteMore Wow!
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding?! Each block is simply stunning and I am in awe of every detail! What an absolutely stunning treasure!
ReplyDeleteForwarding this post's URL to some area friends so they can enjoy the up close and personal time with this pretty quilt. And the quilting is magnificent!
