I'm still working on Easy Street, but getting closer to the end. My design wall is not big enough to spread this large quilt out fully. All that I have left to make are a few empty spots (B blocks) then I will start sewing the blocks into rows. My goal is to have the top done by the end of February, complete with borders.
I had two of these boxes full of the pieces for this quilt. Now these are the only units left to make those last 7 blocks. It sure looks like a lot more than 7 blocks, doesn't it? Sure hope I counted right.
I am anxious to get this off my design wall and put up something else. Actually I've been working on several other projects while doing Easy Street and they are patiently waiting their turn on the design wall.
I'm linking up with Patchwork TImes, so stop over there and check out lots more design walls.
Oh - you are so close! Very pretty - I'm sure it will be done by your deadline. Can't wait to see it up close!
ReplyDeleteYou will laugh at my Easy Street story - thought I'd work on it Saturday with a group of friends. Well, it was a very forgetful day and I failed to bring any extra fabric with me or my set of directions - uggh. Not so productive....lol.
Look at us go! I finally started putting my blocks together last night. You'll be to that point very soon!
ReplyDeleteMaybe not a productive Saturday but I bet you had a good time. :) Nothing like being with quilty friends.
Oh, Dar, your Easy Street is looking so wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteYour Easy Street is really coming along. I love this design and am thinking about doing one. You have inspired me to try.
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to get time to assemble my Easy Street, too. Looking great!
ReplyDeleteDar, your Easy Street is beautiful. Not far to go now.
ReplyDeleteYou're almost there! I love the colors of your Easy Street. I saved the clues, so maybe someday I'll make one. I might have to run out of yarn first though. :0)
ReplyDeleteWay to go!!! Your ES is looking super great :*) You will be surprised how quickly those last blocks will be done. It goes together really quickly after that. Are you doing 2 borders or 3? I only did 2, but I have seen lots of different border treatments. I totally understand about wanting it off your wall! I was the same way - couldn't wait to get it off so I could play in something new. Like you, I started a couple before it was done :*)
ReplyDeleteMy hat's off to you, Darlene. I would have quilt with the second block. Nice job. Can't wait to see it done.
ReplyDeleteYour Easy Street is going to be gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI do understand the desire to get ES completed. I have been quilting mine and have just the last border left to do. Then trimming and binding and done. This was really a challenge, wasn't it?
