I've been keeping out of trouble with more quilting. This one was from a Planet Patchwork New Year's Day mystery from many years ago. A friend of mine made this version (her's is now quilted) and mine is still in the flimsy stage waiting for it's turn. :)
She wanted leaves quilted as an all over. I used "Falling Leaves" and thread that blended so as not to detract from the unique design. Maybe this will motivate me to get mine quilted this year too. Mine is much brighter and doesn't lend itself to a theme for quilting. That's my holdup--how do I want to quilt it. :)
My stashbusting is progressing slowly but surely. Since my last report way back in week #30, I have busted another 10.95 yards of fabric. Most was from my QOV quilt top-7.5 yds, some fat quarters that were donated to a game at one of my quilt guilds and gifted a couple backings for tablerunners to a friend. This brings me up-to-date for now.
Fabric Report - Sept. 5, 2016
Fabric Added since last report - 0
Fabric Added YTD - 4.5 yards
Fabric Used since week #30 - 10.95 yds
Fabric Used in 2016 YTD - 64.86 yards
Hope you are all having a great Labor Day and getting lots of "laboring" done or having fun in whatever makes you happy. I am linking up with DWM at Judy's Patchwork Times.
Pretty quilt! I like the pattern. How to quilt the quilt is the reason there are so many unfinished tops in the world :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you got a good start on the blocks for the next quilt. Congrats on a great stash busting effort so far this year!
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric usage for the year to date and since your last report. I am planning to make some blocks for you this weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat outage since your last report! The finished quilt looks great and I can't wait to see your finished quilt.
