On my design wall today is a UFO that I worked on at a retreat last November, until I ran out of border fabric options. I didn't have anything in my stash (with enough yardage that worked. Along came a friend, and she had what would work. I purchased her leftover fabric and now I can get busy and maybe finish it this year.
Check other design walls at Patchwork Times and see what others are working on.
Dar, I love the look of the striped inner border :)
ReplyDeleteA friend in need is a friend in deed! Blessign to you two girls.
ReplyDeleteI collect striped fabric "just in case". Wonderful for borders and binding!
ReplyDeleteI like that inner border too - good luck!
ReplyDeleteI like the pretty blues. So good that your friend had the fabric you needed to finish.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty - that little stripe-y inner border is a great touch!
ReplyDeleteLooks great especially like the stripe

Oh - a blue quilt!!! And scrappy too! Just my style :*) Can't wait to see this one come together! Are the little nine patches on the left of the design wall part of the quilt? I really like the border fabric a lot. It will add another dimension to the quilt.
ReplyDeleteLooks like I should start collecting stripes. Of course I would never buy enough - as usual.

Your quilt looks great Darlene. I'm sure it will be finished before our next retreat.
You know me, Dar. I'm always a sucker for a striped inner border! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI love the striped inner border! Monochromatic quilts are my favorites and you have a great assortment of blues that make your eyes travel around the quilt. Nice!
