Design Wall Monday

This week I spent working on multiple projects, but managed to finish all 6 of the borders on my QOV Tilted Stars.  I decided to put scrappy blue borders on the top and right sides of the center, to balance the red logs at the left and bottom that were made within the block.  I added two additional borders (tan and a dark blue stripe) in order to get it bigger.  It measures 65" x 80".   The blocks were made by  a few friends and me from our stash.

This just needs to be quilted and I can cross it off my UFO list.  I need to make a pillowcase too.  I'm so behind on finishing UFOs.  So much for my UFO goals. Maybe next years UFO goals will be better.  I still have 4 months to go, there is a chance that I could finish another one before the stroke of midnight on Dec. 31, 2012!

I'm linking up with Judy at Patchwork Times to see what everyone else has on their design walls.

  1. I've always wondered what that pattern would look like if the blocks were turned in different directions.

  3. It's beautiful Dar & will make a wondeful QOV quilt! I think you've done a great job with your UFO's. You are steadily working on them, and really that's all you can ask of yourself. Which one is next? Are you looking forward to working on it?

  4. I really like this one, Dar. I've tried to reply to your comments on my blog but keep getting an undeliverable bounce back message. Can you send me a email so I can see if I have the correct address?
